EVOLUTION FACT OR FICTION
The THEORY OF EVOLUTION has been called 'the most powerful and the most comprehensive idea that has ever arisen on earth'. It has been so passionately argued and so heavily promoted in the mass media since it was accepted by the scientific community in London England.
I guess many people will be skeptical of the earth being created by a designer like god versus biological evolution. I'd suggest with an open mind, the case for a designer seems to make much more sense of the highly complex living world than evolution by random mutation ever can. In my opinion, it's well worth taking a look. With issues that have such massive implications, you should always check both sides of the argument before making your mind up!
Using critical analysis of the issue of origins, arguing (very well in my opinion, for what it's worth) that the world doesn't make sense without a creator.
John Blanchard's booklet asks the question: is evolution scientific fact or fiction? Proponents of evolution would have us believe that evolution is more than just a theory but a fact! But where is the evidence? Assumptions, assumptions, assumptions that is what evolution is all about -not facts. Take one example: Microevolution. We all agree that Microevolution (change within the species) takes place but at the end of the day the species remains the same. Not so say the evolutionists. Over long periods of time these small changes can result in Macroevolution (change of species) but this is pure speculation.
The fossil record tells a different story. Where are the vast number of transitional fossils that would occur if Macroevolution took place? Why are they missing? Answer: because they never took place. Evolution also turns the scientific method on its head. The scientific method is one of continual testing to verify the validity of a hypothesis or theory. Progress is made by this type of challenge since both confirmation and disapproval can bring about change. Not so, challenges that disprove or question evolution are not tolerated.
Objections to evolution have been raised since evolutionary ideas came to prominence in the 19th century. When Charles Darwin published his 1859 book on the Origin of Species, his theory of evolution (the idea that species arose through descent with modification from a single common ancestor in a process driven by Natural Selection initially met opposition from scientists with different theories but eventually came to receive overwhelming acceptance in the scientific community.
Since then, most criticisms and denials of evolution have come from religious groups, rather than from the scientific community. Although many religious groups have found reconciliation of their beliefs with evolution, such as through theistic evolution, other religious groups continue to reject evolutionary explanations in favor of creationism, the belief that the universe and life were created by supernatural forces. The U.S.-centered creation - evolution controversy has become a focal point of perceived conflict between Religion and Science.
Several branches of creationism, including creation science, neo-creationism, and intelligent design, argue that the idea of life being directly designed by a GOD or INTELLIGENCE is at least as scientific as evolutionary theory, and should therefore be taught in public education.
Such arguments against evolution have become widespread and include objections to evolution's evidence, methodology, plausibility, morality, and scientific acceptance. The scientific community does not recognize such objections as valid, pointing to detractors' misinterpretations of such things as the scientific method, evidence, and basic physical laws.
WHY DID DARWIN TAKE SO LONG TO PUBLISH THE ORGIN OF SPECIES?
The myth: Darwin delayed publication of the Origin of Species for two decades, until 1859, because he was nervous about the likely reaction of church authorities and professional colleagues to the theory of evolution by natural selection and the famous Royal Society of London for Improving Natural knowledge were also skeptical.
That view was not unanimous within Murray’s publishing house: An Anglican minister named Whitwell Elwin, who worked as an editor, called Darwin’s ideas “revolting”; he said Origin was plagued by an “absence of proofs” and recommended that the publisher reject it. His first edition had quotations by William Whewell and Francis Bacon on the theology of natural laws, harmonizing science and religion in accordance with Isaac Newton's belief in a rational God who established a law-abiding cosmos.
In the second edition, Darwin added an epigraph from Joseph Butler affirming that God could work through scientific laws as much as through miracles, in a nod to the religious concerns of his oldest friends. The Introduction establishes Darwin's credentials as a naturalist and author, then refers to John Herschel's letter suggesting that the origin of species "would be found to be a natural in contradistinction to a miraculous process".
A less know rumor theory was the publisher had rejected his book several times and Darwin was overheard in the pub saying he was exactly like Barnum & Bailey Circus which was billed THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH and all he really wanted to do was sell books...scientific fact checked or not? Darwin could go down in history as the best hustler, shyster the world has ever experienced.
I claim if evolution is so scientific I simply ask the scientists to take the DUCK BILLED PLATYPUS AND WATCH IT EVOLVE INTO A HUMAN BEING. Granted the Duck Billed Platypus can breathe air like us humans and has four legs, a snout and teeth but that's it. Even fifty trillion years would not allow natural selection to create man from a Duck Billed Platypus plus they are ugly. Dear Mommy whilst looking into the mirror asked... do I look like a duck? No honey and I am glad you dropped your tail. Honestly Johnny I don't think natural selection is working on our species on this earth... its so far out maybe it could work in outer space.
Many religions believe in creationism ... the belief that the universe and life were created by supernatural forces. The belief that the universe and living organisms originate from specific acts of divine creation, as in the biblical account, rather than by natural processes such as evolution.
As we explore these two theories of how man came to be on this earth their is plenty of research for both theories and it behooves us to rely on current information to drawn your own conclusion as to how the species showed up in Africa and then across all of the continents and was conceived by Natural Selection Evolution or by Devine Intervention?
THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW: What is the scientific method in evolution? The scientific method is based on observation, experimentation and verification and these have consistently supported the Darwinian theory of natural selection. Evolution does not violate the second law of thermodynamics, because the Earth is not in a closed system. You be the judge?
