Our ancestors did not eat grains and plant fats.  They ate animal meat and fat.  Now, people are eating a plant based diet resulting in massive increases in heart disease, type 2 diabetes and obesity.  I am allergic to gluten because my hunter gatherer ancestors did not eat grains.

Everything Wrong With A Modern Diet

You are what you eat. Your choice of food can significantly affect your life and health, especially if it is not correct. That is why a lot of people believe that most of the current health problems that people experience all over the world are the result of an unhealthy diet. But who is to blame in this situation? Since unhealthy food is cheaper in general, more accessible, and popularized nowadays, people choose to have a huge hamburger and soda for lunch, instead of buying more expensive organic foods and eating a nutritious well-balanced meal.

Diseases related to chronic inflammation are the leading cause of death across the globe and have reached epidemic levels in developed countries.  60 percent of Americans have at least one chronic inflammatory disease, while four in 10 suffer from at least two chronic conditions, and 12% have 5 or more.

Across the globe, 3 out of 5 people die from chronic inflammatory diseases, including stroke, cardiovascular disease, respiratory diseases, heart disorders, cancer, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and various autoimmune disorders.

Because these diseases were virtually non-existant for our hunter-gatherer ancestors, we call them “diseases of civilization.” The evidence suggests that the root cause of these inflammatory diseases is our modern diets and lifestyle.

It may be surprising and contradict the common idea spread by the media, but research shows that a bigger part of the calories which hunter-gatherer groups consume comes from animal food, rather than plant-based . The meat was a part of the diet of hominids even 2.5 million years ago. Animal foods are among the most nutrient-rich foods. Some of the components that are abundant in animal products are difficult to get somewhere else, because their counterparts of a plant nature have less bioavailability, meaning that they are poorly absorbed or converted.

THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW:
Chronic disease, illness, allergies and tooth decay have become commonplace in modern society - in children and adults. However, it wasn't always this way. Our ancestors rarely suffered from such things, which begs the question; what is behind this decline in human health? The answer is diet - specifically that the modern diet lacks the macronutrient quality and density of the ancestral diet.

So, what is an ancestral diet? Put simply; it is a diet based on the foods our ancestors consumed. This can be confusing as people from different regions consumed different foods. Those living close to the sea may have consumed more seafood, while those living inland may have eaten more red meat.  

THINGS YOU MAY WANT TO SAVE: Bone marrow & bone broth plus cut down on the feeding frenzy. People eat too much, and move to little... no matter what kind of diet they have...thats the biggest problem... sitting all day, and eating.
